Former special education teacher, current stay-at-home mom of three and, of course, family photographer based in Indian Trail, NC, serving the south Charlotte area. My goal in every family photoshoot is to create memory-making experiences while capturing genuine emotions in your photos. We play lots of games, we sing songs, we take breaks, and we always do our very best to make the whole photoshoot experience comfortable for everyone. (That includes you too, Mama!)

What age is best for personality portraits?
These personality portrait studio sessions are perfect for babies sitting independently through elementary-aged kids.
Where are the sessions located?
Personality portrait sessions take place at Lived-In Creative Studios in Matthews, NC, just outside of Charlotte.
How long is a personality portrait session?
15 minutes for 1-2 kids, an extra 5 minutes added for each additional sibling.
Can we do siblings and cousins together?
Yes, but each family will purchase their own session and we will schedule them back-to-back. This allows for individual portraits, sibling portraits, and all the cousins together too.
What should my child wear?
I recommend you keep it simple. We want the focus to be on the beauty of the child, not the beauty of the outfit. And choose something your child is comfortable in! We will be moving and grooving, and we don’t need pictures of your son whining and pulling on his tie (although, if he’s a sharp dresser, don’t hold him back!)
How many photos will we get?
These sessions come with a full gallery which means I will send all of the best images individually edited via an online gallery. You will receive a minimum of 10 images, but I always send more.
How long does it take to receive the final edited photos?
Turnaround time is 2 weeks, but if you need them faster, I do offer rush editing for an additional fee.
Can I get all my photos in black and white?
Yes! I default to sending all personality portrait sessions in color, but if you would prefer only black and white, just let me know and I’d be happy to do that! If you want a mix of both, there will be an add-on fee for black and white photos.
